Aa couple friends and I decided to head out to the Pocono Mountain area for a little nature-themed weekend get away, away from the high energy of the city. It was a quaint little town, small and charming, and nestled quietly amidst the beautiful colors of autumn.

We lucked out with timing and took two Foliage tours via old fashioned coal train rides through Lehigh Gorge.

After an early dinner, we stopped by Lake Harmony on the way back to our hotel.
Perfect chill weekend in October to admire the foliage. Perhaps we should have gone a week or two earlier, but it was still breathtaking. I was a bit of a drive for me to get there (6.5 hours with traffic one way) but it was worth it in the end. I'll just plan better next time for a long weekend or just a longer vacation for that type of driving length.
It was also extra worth since I got the chance to see a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in about 3 years. It makes me very grateful to have that sort of friend, that even though it's been years, when we reunite it's like nothing has changed and we just pick up where we left off.
Until next time!

Have an amazing day!
