Wayfering 019 :: Ice Castles

Hello hello! :D A couple friends and I decided to go to the Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH last weekend and it was beautiful! Freezing, but beautiful!
It was over a 2 hour drive, but it was worth it!

Despite being bundled up to our best efforts, it was freezing!

Not sure when they decided to add the fire dancers, but it was a nice touch. 

The pictures speak for themselves about what this place is about. We had a nice dinner at the Common Man afterwards and then headed back home for some much needed sleep after the drive. Checking this off my bucket list as a worthy site for a half day trip (but to see at night when they light up).
At first I was debating even going. I was caught between the "It'll be here every year, I can do it later" and the "But it's such a long drive for a small site" excuses, but I'm glad I put those aside and made the drive up.
We only really have the present and if I can do something, why not?
