Besides the fact that the month of June seemed to have vanished into thin air, summer is going by far, far, far too quickly. every year I find it very unfair that the winters are long in such a cruel way while summer flies by. Mother Nature can be so mean sometimes. But anyways, I thought to spend my weekend with my cousin since she was stuck with work.
Providence Place, Rhode Island

And of course, it isn't summer unless there's sun, sand, and sea :D
Just about 45 minutes south of Providence are a few beautiful - and as predicted on a holiday - completely crowded beaches. We considered ourselves lucky to even get a parking spot with how packed the beaches were.

Though we got our food to go, this view during lunch is equally as beautiful even if you're not in the water. (I recommend getting clam bellies, not the strips.)
There was also some shopping and the typical girl thing to do of getting pedicures, but we were too busy vacationing to take many pictures. I highly recommend Top Nails and Spa in Warrick, RI. Pedicures include hot stone messages and back rubs while your nails dry. Literally the most relaxing pedicure I've gotten in my life. (Highly, highly recommend.)
Since graduating, I've been a little stuck at home until my career becomes more solid. Yes, I was able to relax at home and recover from the burn out of graduate school, but there's a difference in relaxing in a place that is not home. I didn't realize how much I needed a little mini-vacation until I had one. To be away from home and familiar surroundings and immerse myself into a place that's not completely foreign, but just different enough to give a breath of fresh air.
“Just breathing can be such a luxury sometimes.”
o-o-o-o-o-o
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
